I don't know about that I know I was in office and cash cage and was cut to 20 hrs.And then have to go to electronics in the afternoon.
Our HR has always been in her office all day .There are times that she goes and helps on floor but not very often. I think she was suppose to be 20 hrs but no one ever enforced it .Think it is finally catching up with her..But we had heard this happened at a super kmart about cutting hr to 20hrs. We had heard also that there where changes coming and that is all that was said.

Thats kind of funny about HR going to 20 hours. Before I was let go in
2006, I was told back then that HR was only a 20hr job and the other
20 hours was to be spent out on the floor. What happened did they
increase that positions hours. OR maybe it was just at the store I
worked at. HMMM!!!
